We recently purchased a home with a water problem in the basement. We're in the process of resolving the moisture problem. What is the best way to clean the mold and mildew from the basement concrete walls and floor? What products should I use?
Is this mold and mildew dangerous to your health?

Well I don't pretend to be an expert at cleaning up mold (or the garage), I can tell you that molds of this type can be hazardous. Particularly to children, people with asthma, and other respiratory problems. The mold spores are microscopic and can track elsewhere in the home.

Good luck with the clean up

Good old fashioned elbow grease and a diluted bleach solution works best on killing these spores and mildew.

For an even different solution - I've used Castrol Super Clean. It cuts through mildew quickly. It is very pungent. So be careful with it.
