Adding Basement Doorway
I plan on constructing an exit from my basement to the outside. The house is two and half stories, approximatley 100 years old, with basements walls made of stone and concrete.
The basement walls are about two feet thick, thus it appears sawing with a conrcete blade will be out of the question. Does anyone have suggestions as to how this can be achieved ?

Adding basement doorway
Check with your local building inspector before beginning your project. Your foundation walls are loading bearing. Once an opening has been made in a wall, the load will have to be redirected.
