Question

I would like to know more about using mirrors in your basement. Our basement is very dark. I've heard about using mirrors to help reflex the light, but how and where do you put them? Thank you, Sue

There are several ways you can do this. Probably the most popular way is to take one corner, and place a small stand with a lamp and a 100 watt light bulb in it. On both sides of the corner put up mirrors about 2 feet wide, and 4 feet high. Put the bottom of the mirrors at the height of the table or stand top. For a really dark basement, you can do this in opposite corners.

Cool

Remember also to use light colors - the whiter the better for light reflectancy. A White marblized tile will reflect much better than a browen carpet, for example.
