Thumbs down

I am remodelling my basement, and have run into a snag. I have a sewer pipe standing almost in the middle of the basement. I'm not exactly sure what to do with it. I can box it in, but then we'll have a column in the middle of the room. My wife says she can paint it like some sort of soldier guy standing there, but I don't think so. I could attach shelving to it, but that might look a little odd, too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm stuck until I figure this thing out!

Many people try to lay out their basement so that such things land in the middle of a partition wall. If this isn't possible, I'd say just go ahead and have a column in the middle of the room. Anything else will look like a column in the middle of the room that you tried to camouflage.

They make a decorator type something, I can't remember the name of it, but a home decorator probably could. It comes with hooks and hangers for artifical plants, etc.
they look cute. Tell your wife this and maybe she can come up with something.
