foundation crack
#1

I have a 12 year old house with a concrete poured foundation. There are two separate cracks from top to almost bottom. The cracks are minor in width < 1 millimetre however during heavy rain, we get some puddles in the basement. I am ready to dig the hole on the outside and do the repair myself but would like some information on how to: seal the crack, how to finish the outside (paint, sealer, honeycomb membrain????); any other details for this type of work. The cost to have it done by a contractor is in the CDN$750.00 range per crack which I think I can beat with a little effort on my side.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I'll tell you what I just told someone else. We are in the middle of finishing our basement. We also have a poured foundation and it had a few cracks in it. one crack in particular would leek when it rained. We used hydrolic cement and applied it to the walls as per the directions on the can. We then put on about 4 coats of drylock water proofer over the entire basement walls. We have since had many rain storms but no water has come in, plus the basement has become much dryed with no more musty smell. Hope this helps.
