Limestone basement walls

My husband and I would like to paint the limestone walls in our basement. The house is approx. 100 years old. The walls give off so much dust with small pieces falling off all the time. Is it possible to paint them? If so, what do we use? Some moisture forms on the walls but not enough to puddle on the floor. It's more like condensation in a couple of areas. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Andrea,

I'm not sure if Drylok can be used on limestone but the links below can and are available at most DIY stores.

Hope this helps!
