Drainage
The soil is proably what was causing the rusty colored Stain.
My house is 15yrs old, I have been in it for 3yrs. You are probably right about the drainage. I dont have any drainage in the floor of the Basement. Can i do that(floor drain) or just drain the Dehum. outside. Since i have been in the house, we have had alot of rain, my house is set up on a small hill. The only problem with water is the damp corner walls, where the grad and downspouts were incorrect. I have since then tried to fix these problems, by putting a underground drainage system that goes out to the curb. And I am in the process of Fixing the Grad on the one side of my house.
