Owens Corning basement panels

Has anyone worked with the Owens Corning basement refinishing system? They're pre-fabricated fiberglass insulated wall panels that snap into some sort of PVC grid. I just started refinishing my basement and the plan is (was) to construct walls, add insulation and sheet rock. I'm wondering if this new product is as good as it sounds.

I had them bid...

I had them bid on my basement project. Neat product since it combines a fabric 'sandwich' with a place to pull cable and insulation. Modular construction makes it go together quickly too.

However, the cost was _very_ high compared to a DIY or semi-pro sheetrock project, and to be honest I thought the finished product looked very temporary/officelike.

The panels ARE nice looking, but if you work in an office environment, you'll recognize them for where the design concept started - modular office panels.

IMHO it's a great solution if a. you like the look, and b. are in a real hurry.
