Crack in basement Wall
I am refinishing a basement that was previously done by the previous owner.
What a bad job they did.The stud were up agains the wall with no insulation and regular 2x10 for bottom plate and paneling on top. When I remove the panel
You wont beleive the amount of mildew I found on the stud and behind the panel.
Now I am reframing with 2x4 leaving 1/2" gap between the stud and the concrete wall with pt plate. The Question is I have a hair line crack on the concrete wall , Its start at the corner of a window and go all the way down to the floor.Any one know How I can fix that?

peppy,
Go to Home Depot and look at the Drylok products available for this. Other brands are available for cracks including hydraulic cement applications.
Hope this helps!
