holes for basement wiring

Is it ok to drill 7/8" hole through the bottom of engineered floor trusses (open floor joists) made of 2x4's. I need to run some wiring and I'm wanting to make sure I don't degrade the strength.

No, you may not modify any type of truss and never cut holes in flange members.

insulating service closet

Work has begun. My first section of framing is up. Have a question regarding my second wall I will be doing soon. This wall has the electrical panel, sump pump and mitigatin pipe all on and along side of it. What I want to do is to build a closet to enclose all of the above. I will have a bifold door on it for access. Closet will be approx 8 feeet long and 3 1/2 feet deep. My question is what is the best way to insulate the foundation walls that will be on the inside of the closet? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

Half of my basement is unfortunately already framed with 3 X 2. I don't want to break the frame but I want to insulate it. I am going to use Kraft R-13 blanket insulation with built-in vapor barrier. The insulation is designed for 4 X 2 frame. Can I use these blankets with 3 X 2 frame. The frame is about between 0.5 to 1.5 in from wall.
