Closing in a framed door

I am planning on closing off several areas where doors where framed by tonailing some studs to a pressure treated bottom plate and bottom of the door header. I am doing this mainly to have something to nail drywall to. I am planning on removing one stud, and creating a new header/king studs, and jack studs for a new door opening (basically...moving one door a few feet over). Does anyone see any issues with this? Will closing off the other doors make the wall stronger?

bverdon,

Go for it! It really doesn't make the wall stronger, it just fills a void.

Good Luck!
