Vapor Barrier Against Wall

OK I've been a closet reader as I have bought my tools and im ready to start. My first of what i am sure are to be many questionsd. Doug has talked about the 4mill barrier nailed to cill or joists against wall. Cutting alits for weepage at grade level thus my question. How big should the slits be? How far apart? the grade line slopes in the front of the house? I assume i adjust the slits accoirdingly? What about unfinshed areas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

jeffbarb,

Thanks for keeping tabs on me...somebody better!

The slits can be just a couple of inches long, 6 inches apart just enough to allow for air movement back behind for the weeping. Do this wherever you are having plastic hanging. you never know, you or someone else might finish unfinished areas sometime down the line! Adjust the slits to where the grade is.

Hope this helps!
