What is the best basement flooring?
#1

I am a newbie here and this is my first question here. I hope I am welcome here and I get a satisfying professional answer.
Now for the question part.
I am about to buy a house. I have found quite a few houses with a variety of basement flooring. I want to know that what is the best flooring when it comes to basements. What is the best flooring to reduce the humidity. I am looking for a flooring that lasts for a long time.
The type of floorings that I have seen are:
1. Open earth.
2. Concrete
3. Vinyl
4. Tiles (probably ceramic tiles)
Expense is not the issue. I want a long term, reliable solution.
Thank you everyone in advance for an answer/solution.

Of all the options you mentioned, dirt lasts the longest.
It's hard to provide a general answer, since we don't know what you plan to use your basement for, nor how much of an issue water/humidity is in you area (and indeed on your individual lot).
