Waterproof Basement

Hello,

My new house has a pretty much finished basement but a has a few leaks and I would like to patch them up. It doesn't even get puddle size but I would like to patch them up before it gets worst.

Any ideas on what route I should take would be appreciated.

hello kansasgirl & welcome aboard!

Hate to rain on your parade, but need some more specifics on where the water's coming from before could offer anything useful. Post on back & tell us a bit more about the situation.

It leaks alittle bit where the floor meets the wall. I just want to fix it before it gets worst. I have cement walls and cement floor. Any other questions just ask.

ok sounds like you may need to do some exterior waterproofing, although if this is a brand new house, it should have been done during construction.

Where is this floor in conjunction to the grade on the outside?

It is an 80 year old house. The basement is about 5 feet below the ground level outside the house.

It only leaks alittle when it rains really hard.
