VB @ ceiling in basement
How do you connect or leave the VB at ht e top of a conc. block basement wall? I have an older home (50's) with no gasket along the top of the wall, and the joists sit right on the block. Also, should the VB on the conc. slab under the sub-floor be continous with the one on the wall?
Thanks in advance.

You dont say is this a crawl way and you want to put down a VB . Or is this a full basement that you want to close in. The GOV want the VB over lapped 2' now and tapped.I would get a 1"x2"and tack it on the joist there by the wall and tack the V/B to it???????????????? Sub floor ??????????????? You said ceiling ???? You dont want to put this V/b on the basement ceiling

This is a full basement. I am currently doing a tear out and want to relace this right since this is an older home (50's).
I am going to be putting down a sub floor as well, so I was wondering weather or not there should be a continous membrane from the ceiling at the outside walls and over the slab in the basement.
Better get back to work, I have some mold to get rid of as well.
