I need clarification regarding slits in the plastic sheeting

Per the guidance recieved from a previous post - I've got the plastic sheeting hanging up in front/over of the concrete basement wall with a 1" gap between it and the studs. Before I put in the insilation I just want to make sure I do the next step right... A previous post reply (can't remember who) mentioned cutting slits in the plastic at the grade level and above. Any guidelines on thes? Little 1" perforations all over the place or large 12" slits up the wall every certain number of inches? Just don't want to inadvertently screw up the job at this point. Concrete necessary?

Just cut some concrete (about 1' by 2') in my basement to move a 1 1/2" drain pipe over for a tub. I did a number on the cheesy plastic box that the stub ran through. I have dug out the hole to about 10-12" so I can install a trap, etc. When I have fitted the new plumbing, is it required that I fill this hole in with concrete, or can I just place some kind of removable cover over it? Seems like it would be much more preferable to have access in case of trouble. Thanks! JoeRead More
