Does drylock really work?

I have a cinder block basement. There is one spot where water comes through when it rains. Will drylock fix this? Or will more repair be needed? Thanks

Drylock just protects the interior surface from moisture, it cannot physically stop water infiltration. The only place to do that is on the outside. Clean the gutters, move downspouts away from the foundation, slope the grade away from the house, install drain tile, and waterproof the foundation. These are successive steps that should be taken to fight water infiltration. How is the water getting to this spot on the wall? Fix the problem, don't cover it with Drylock.
