Hi- I'm finishing my basement, and my village requires 2 inspections: a rough electrical/plumbing inspection and a final inspection when the project is completely finished. I passed the rough inspection, but what are the inspectors looking for in the final inspection? If the construction passed the rough, what typically causes problems with the final inspection? I tried to post this question earlier but it clearly didn't work. I'll try again: I use a humidifier in my basement, and have time-of-use electric rates, where electricity rates vary according to a schedule. I would like to put my humidifier on a timer, so it runs while electric rates are cheapest. Timers work by cutting power to the attached device. The problem is that my unit, and all others I've seen, have electronic controls. When power is restored, the default "mode" is "off". A button must be pushed to turn the unit on. Are there any units that will work with a timer like this?
