humidifier on a timer

I tried to post this question earlier but it clearly didn't work. I'll try again:

I use a humidifier in my basement, and have time-of-use electric rates, where electricity rates vary according to a schedule.

I would like to put my humidifier on a timer, so it runs while electric rates are cheapest. Timers work by cutting power to the attached device. The problem is that my unit, and all others I've seen, have electronic controls. When power is restored, the default "mode" is "off". A button must be pushed to turn the unit on.

Are there any units that will work with a timer like this?

Correction: I'm actually using a DEHUMIDIFIER, not a humidifier... Sorry about any confusion.

Yes, most fo them are this way. I would spend the extra 25 cents a day and have a dry basement, but then thats me.
