Question Dri Core VS SubFloor and Pergo

I just discovered this web site and not coincidentally am also just finishing my slightly damp basement. I have a question about the DriCore product versus the SubFloor product that to me looks identical. Does anyone know the difference if there is one? Either way I will be using one or the other and then putting a Pergo floor over it. Any advice on what to avoid?

In case you are thrown off by the "slightly damp", reference, it is humid air condensing on the concrete walls of my 1960 Split. The excess humidity is unavoidable because it is a natural phenomena but can be removed with better air circulation and a dehumidifier. Fortunately the foundation is free of leaks or cracks etc.

Thanks much

Don

I just used the SubFloor brand, from what I can tell the only difference is in the plastic backing, on the dricore the dimples have an extra recessed nipple. Other that that they look the same to me. In my case the subfloor was cheaper.

Highly recomended. Easy install and looks great.

I used Dricore

Hey Don,

I installed Dricore this past spring, contractor finished the framing and walls, carpet guy left last Friday after a beautiful job..I can't get my kids out of their new playroom!!..Dicore was easy to put down and the carpet guy liked the idea of installing on it...Good luck
