Question draintile

Hi All,
I am in the process of finishing a draintile installation in my basement. My question is about drilling the holes into my cement blocks. I have 6x24" blocks with 3 cavaties in them. I have drilled all of those out and installed hoses that drain into the drain tile. Do i need to drill out the mortar joint between the blocks? Any help would be appreciated, if it matters, the house was built in 1941. Thank you

vansickle,

What you have done is correct. You do not drill holes in the mortar joints. The holes within the cores is what you only need to do.

You're doing fine!
