Question Insulation

Ok I put the Base Plate down 1" off the Wall, then 2x4 every 16" from center. Run all the wiring, Insulate with R-13 and then place the vapor barrier(6mil). And Sheet rock. My basement walls have the concrete block supports about every 10' which sticks out an additional 1". Can i just put the Base plate up against those blocks and not insulate that spot. Or go an additional 1" from there and lose another 1" all around?

AceI,

Just make sure that your wood isn't touching block, place some poly behind the wall to prevent wood and insulation from getting wet. Staple poly to rim joist. This will work fine in your case.

Good Luck!
