Small Opening Attic Stairs

Does any one know where I can buy a pull down, folding attic stairs that will fit an opening of 24 x 36 or something close?

I'm in NJ, I'm hoping there's a store, HD, Lowes or a lumber yard? that I can go pick it up.

thanks,

Mel

Mel,

Did you get stairs for your attic? I am running into same problem. My attic opening is only 30" x 30".

Thanks.

most openings for attic fold down stairs are about 25" to27" wide by around 54" to56" long. what you guys got are attic access, you need a ladder. see if you cant make the opening bigger to accept the fold down.

Lightbulb stairs

I thing you will find that the attic stairs are made to fit most of the time in the 24 "center truss. If you have that dont cut any of the truss rafters just go the long way with them to put in the stairs ED
