Basement Wall Framing distance from concrete

Just curious if it is a bad thing that 2x4 walls are framed only 1/2" away from the concrete exterior wall instead of 1". Ive had people tell me 1/2" and some people tell me 1".

Basement finishing

I am beginning the planning for a finished basement. A three year old home, poured walls and floor. We have noticed some mold beginning to grow on some surfaces and that has been addressed with a dehumidifier and a better HVAC unit to accomodate the nearly doubled living space. What I am looking for is an alternative to wood frame and drywall for these will always end up as mold food. Owens-Corning gave us a quote for their basement system but was prohibitively expensive and quite honestly, UGLY! Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

De-humidifer In Basement

What humidity level should one go for in a basement or a house for that matter. My concern about putting a de-humidifer in the basement is that it will remove the mosture but it will also draw in excess mosture through the foundation (I have block). Overtime this can create channels for water to seep through. Is that valid statement
