Finishing my basement with panel board

I am about to start finishing my basement, and am considering using just panel board instead of drywalling it first. Is this feasable or should i drywall first?

Thanks for any help.

Panel board alone, over studs will be very flimsy. If this is an are you are going to use on a regular basis, I suggest you sheetrock first.

Then if you sheetrock first, in my opinion, just go ahead and finish the sheetrock. It will look a lot better. You need to check with you local code. Some codes will demand drywall under paneling some don't.

If you have a good panel board We put it right on the studs. If its a dark panel at the seams we take a spray can of black or dark paint and go down the stude with it. This way if the panel pulls apart you dont see the white stud. ED
