glass block bar
I would like to know where i can find info on how to build a glass block bar in my basement.I have searched but come up with no info.

here's a couple of sources
You won't find anything specific about building a glass block bar. You can find hints on working with glass block.
1. Look in the yellow pages under glass block. Then visit some ofthe businesses. Most will have a showroom with various block on display. Some may be able to show you some ideas.
2. Family Handyman ran an article on laying glass block. I think the issue was Feb 2000. Lots of help on laying the block.
3. Visit a home show. Often glass block companies are there with projects. The year I built my bar, I two companies had small outdoor bars on display, using them as podiums.
4. I built cabinets behind mine for extra storage - looks like cabs behind a commercial bar.
5. Lights - I used rope lights. Fiber optics, laid in the mortar, is a good choice but expensive.
