Painting Basement Ceiling
OK, I want to try to do the industrial look on my basement ceiling.
I have searched old posts and know the basics, clean spray primer, spray final coat(s).
Now my questions.
What kinda sprayer? Airless? Small wagner kind? WIll that paint while pointing upward? I have a compressor will a HVLP gun work?
Can you thin latex paint? If so with what water, or some additive?
For those that have done this is flat black the most common? What else would look good?
Any other advice is appreciated.

rmelo99,
Airless would be best as one with your compressor may be a problem - too many things to cover up just in prep work.
I'm not sure what a HVLP gun is and you could go to the painting forum and ask.
An airless using latex would be the best - renting this unit is reasonable through HD or rental facility. Needs no thinning.
Black is common and this also depends on the lighting fixtures you intend to use. Black would be my choice but others have done stranger things.
Hope this helps!
