Insulation question
#1

I am building a rec room in my basement. The house is about 50 years old and the basement has cynder-block walls. I live in Wisconsin.
I am ready to insulate and my brother had a lot of insulation left ofer from a job he recently finished. His insulation is a commercial grade made for metal buildings (with a reflective backing). Is there any reason I cannot use this type of insulation in my basement? I have built the frame out of wood.
Thank you!

That what you have can you take off the R/B that is for the heat in summer like. Or cut a lot of holes in it and put the poly side to the room. I would hang a V/B on the cement block wall first.
