Sealer will not stop the water from penetrating through the cement. You need to apply Hidraulic Cement on the cracks.
Once it is dry- you can use a sealer.
Id look out siad and see if you can find where the water is comeing from. Gutter all good and drain away from the home. Does the ground slop away????ED
I just put a sump into my basement a year ago. It does a decent job but when we get a lot of rain it gets water on the other end of the basement from the sump pump. My gutters were frozen over the last time this happened because of a sleet storm. what are some obvious solutions besides installing a pumpon the other side? I just put some new floor down after I got the last pump installed hoping that my water problem was resolved.
Our house is over 75 years old and the basement floor is dirt with thin lanoleum squares on top of the dirt. When we get a heavy rain or after it's been raining for a long time water seeps up through the basement floor.
I'm not really sure what should be my first step.
I installed all new seamless gutters thinking that would bring the water away from the house foundation.
