DRYLOK Questions
This is a 1.5 year old home and the basement walls are about 2+ years old. My basement is pretty dry. i.e. no water visible water or moisture.
1. Is it required to apply 2 coats of drylok?
2. If I apply the floor version of drylok can I install the peel-and-stick vinyl tiles over them?
3. Can I use the air powered paint sprayer to put the Drylok onto the walls? Or is the brush the only way to go?
Thanks,
Yankee

I would put drylock on as stated with the brush on the first coat then with thick roller on the second.
Sticking things o the floor is fine after the paint is on. The only problem would be if someone wanted to peel up the tiles.
I would stay away from the power sprayer. It would take more than 2 coats to get your walls covered correctly. You want to make sure that it gets in all the holes and crevices. if it doesn't it wont help prevent the moisure.
Now, you have to remember that all the drylock does is help with prevention. Other people will mention that outside protection is key, inside is just more protection.
