Framing a basement closet.

I posted a question here last wek about how wide to frame a 6' basement closet. Thank you for the reply's, but now I have a question on the height. Can anyone tell me what height a typical 6' closet door has from the concrete to the header of the door where the upper track will be mounted? I'm not sure if it matters, but the closet doors I intened on using are white (pre-primed) with 6 raised panels on them.

Thanks,

80 inch door

80" door usually requires an 82" rough opening. Is that what you are using? Since you don't have a jamb on a sliding door, just figure in the width of the track and the thickness of the carpet, and add 1 inch for adjustment and smooth operation.

If still in doubt add another 1" to the 82" you can always shim down the top when you put the track up. The doors should have come with a roughin size with it. If thats two 36" doors dont forget finish open should be about 71" so the doors over lap a 1" when closed in the center ED
