Replacing a Basement Window
When replacing basement windows, is it necessary to entirely remove the old window (1965) and frame in order to install a new window? The frame on my old window is about 10" deep and the foundation seems to of been poured around it. Any information would be a great help.

I would not take out the frame. I would a window that fits right inside the frame. That is what we do. Sometimes we have to add a 1x? to fill in, but taking out the frame is bad business. Good
Luck.

With them all here . I think if you look. The window itself will come right out of the frame there . Most of the time the basement window is a steel frame that was set in the form and the concrete was poured around it. Just like you said. Later the window would just pop in to the steel frame there in the concrete ED
