Hey everybody!
Just got my basement storeroom and bath inspected (rough in). Just goes to show how helpful this forum is...I haven't done anything (big) wrong!

1) I can't use a Stutor on a toilet here but not a problem as he showed me how to correct.
2) I have to vent my bathroom to an outside wall. Which I was planning on doing anyway.

And that's it! He said to call back when I've done those two and have insulation up in the outside walls. My wiring and plumbing looked good apparently!

And I must say that the inspector was much more of a help than I thought. At least in my case, he offered a lot of encouragement and answers to my questions.

This forum is probably the best place for the DIY to go for help! Thanks again everybody.

Black and Decker have great plumbing and electrical books.

 

Congratulations on your continued success as a do-it-yourselfer.. Don't worry so much about the inspectors, they all are normally a very good bunch of guys, and contrary to whatever anyone else says or that you hear... Most of the time they are downright decent...
