Basement questions
Hi I just have two questions a a basement remodel.First what is the type of insulation should be used for the ceiling and walls.Also should I use regular sheetrock or greenboard?Thanks

You can simply use batt insulation faced or unfaced on the walls. Faced would make it easier with paper side in.
Insulating the ceiling with something similar is a waste of money. If you are trying to minimize sound transference between the 2 levels, then application of more materials like sound board, 1/2" or 5/8", then install sound channel then drywall. As you can tell this adds to more work, more money but each has it's benefit, with some improvements.
I would suggest using only standard drywall within your lower level. No need for greenboard unless within an area like a bathroom and then it's use should be limited for intended locations.
