musty smell
Upon entering my house you walk up five steps underneath those steps is a crawl space which I use for storing things like coolers and paint brushes etc.
This space is acessed thru the basement. which we are in the process of finishing.
We replace the steps last year, and I painted inside the crawl space with the paint that stops water leaks (it did get water seepage at one time)
When you walk into my house sometimes you can smell a musty odor.
I sprinkle bleach there on a regular basis but the smell eventually come back.
Any suggestion on how to keep the smell away.

You dont say just what do you have there .Are the walls to the out side ? Any vents there? what is the floor dirt? Any poly down in there. Any insulation? You have lots of ifs ifs here. post back and some one can help you,stay in the same post

Sorry, let me try again the steps are on the outside of the crawl space the crawl space is underneath just inside my front door so the cynder block is around the edge with a cement floor and the ceiling isthe same as inside the regular part of the basement
which is the floor joists i think that is what they are called the wood that suppports the house
