finish to basement concrete

How can I finish a concrete poured basement wall without using the traditional studs and drywall finish? I would like the finish the basement with a southwest design. Is there anything I can use to finish the wall directly on the concrete?

Basements, Attics and Crawl Spaces
Support needed for Attic storage

I have a fink support system for the roof over my garage. 2X4's make up the framework. I would like to put in an attic ladder for a little extra storage but I realize that I do not have the framework to support a load heavier than a few Christmas decorations. Is there anything I can do to sure up the 2X4's so that I can put down a sheet of plywood and then store some trunks and other non-essential items? :confused:

Hey all, I am starting the framing process of my basement. I have a wall studded together except for the corners. How are the corner studs attached? Do you have to have 2 top plates per wall to wove the wall together or is there another method? (I am hoping for the other method) I hope these questions make sense. If anyone has a drawing or can point me to a website with a drawing so I can see that would be great. Thanks everyone.
