locating load bearing walls

We have a second floor (attic) that has paneling on the walls in our cape cod style home. We want to change how some of the rooms are configured and once we remove the paneling want to know how to locate load bearing walls or beams.

Thanks,

Load bearing walls

Even some of the best carpenters can make a mistake in determining load bearing walls. Make no changes in your structure without consulting with a professional. Contact your local building inspector for recommendations and permits. Perhaps he can vist your home.
