Basement Design

Is there a website that will help define amount of materials (studs, sheet rock, Vapor barier, sheet rock screws, insulation, etc) needed if I supply the dimensions of the room to be finished?

I don't know of one but you might try HD or Lowes since they have the programs for remodeling. Just a thought. Good luck.

Need advice on attic ventilation

I've recently moved into a cape cod that was built in 1968. It does not have any dormers and for ventilation it has a gable vent on each side at the top of the house. These sides of the house face NNE and SSW respectively. I live in the northeast where we get pretty cold, snowy winters. Should I be concerned about more ventilation or could what I have be adequate?
