Exclamation Leveling an old garage/basement floor.

Have a cement floor that used to be part of a garage. It has a dip where a drain used to be. Looking for ideas on how to fill this dip in, so that I can put down either new carpet or laminate wood floor.

You could use regular sack concrete mix for this or slc if you wanted to go to that much trouble to get the floor perfectly level. If the existing floor has a smooth finish, you will need to rough it up so that the new mud can bond to the old.
