Smile Finishing a basement

I bought new house 4 yrs ago and had the builder put a rough for a full bath. Now, that I would like to put a bathroom, do I still need to put a p-trap and a vent. The shower drain is 2" pipe sticking out on the floor and the toilet drain is 4" pipe. If I do need a p-trap i know, I have to raise the shower platform... Pls. I need yout advice...

kracky, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
If the rough-in was done properly, the vents are already in place. The toilet has it's own trap built into it. The shower needs to have a trap installed when you construct it. Good luck on your project.
