The house we are buying has a crawlspace under it. The floor is dirt except a small area where the furnace and water heater are. The door to get in the space is about 4 feet tall. We would like to be able to use this space for possibly more storage. Someone told me there is someone that can come and spray something on the dirt that gets hard like concrete to allow for storage. Can anyone help? What is this product called? Who does it?

I am planning on finishing my basement. During the spring when the water table is high, I get some water seepage through a crack in the floor in my garage. There are no cracks in the floor in the area I wish to finish. For this reason I am concerned with driving nails into the concrete floor to secure my framing. Is there any way to secure a 2x4 to a concrete floor without penetrating the concrete floor??? I was considering cutting a 1' wide by 1' tall triangle length wise in the 2x4, then cementing it to the floor. The thought was the cement would adhere the 2x4 to the floor and the triangle now filled with cement will add some shear strength to keep it from moving side to side.
