Well, my basement remodel project is finally winding down. It took three years but I wasn't in a hurry anyway.
I learned alot doing this whole thing on my own. But the biggest lesson I learned is to take your time and learn as much as you can about what you are getting yourself into before setting the first nail. If you have any doubt about your ability to do something, hire a professional. The people who do this for a living may charge what seems to be high prices but after doing this myself, I now understand why. I'm satisfied with how my project turned out, but it is far from perfect.
I'd like to thank all who answered my questions across the Basement, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Walls and Ceilings forums. It's really great having this site as a reference!!
