Hey all. I'm in the process of completing the electrical portion of my basement finishing project. The bathroom fan exhaust pipe is going to have to run 24' before exiting the basement. This will be a straight shot, between two ceiling joists, and it will exit the house right underneath my cedar deck. Will this create any problems with having such a long horizontal exhaust pipe. And will this cause any problems with exhausting out underneath my deck? I appreciate your feedback.

I have a 2 story brick home built in the 1930s. A portion of brick basement is a room that was finished at that time with plaster and has a narrow door opening of only 27 inches. This opening is much too narrow for any modern furniture to pass through. My couch requires atleast 31 inch. opening. If I remove the door and the frame I think I might get another 2 inches of space. So I need atleast 3 more inches to fit the couch through. If this is a load bearing wall, could enlarging a door three inches cause problems. I can't tell if there is a header over the door because the wall is finished. Thank you in advance for any advice.
