Room Division

I am in a house with a large basement and am sectioning off a part of it to use a s a bedroom. I want an easy/cheap way to section it off but am having trouble figuring out a way to do this. Any ideas? The wall needs to be temporary; I don't want to build a real wall (no drywall, etc.) Thanks

Welcome to the DoItYourself.com forums riteshpat

You can always use room dividers or screens, drapes, fairly large free- standing bookcase/shelves.

What's the other part of the room going to be used for?

The other part of the basement is has a bar and is going to just be used for social purposes. That's the reason I want to section off the bedroom part...any method with privacy.

You could run into a problem.

Since you are changing the use (game room to bedroom), you techically need an egress window that allows people to get out and emergency personnel to get in.

Don't expect to call it a bedroom when you go to sell.

Well, it's being rented buy a group of people. But that's not the problem, I just need an easy way to section off that part of the basement. It is currently just a large open basement, but the area that I want to divide off is going to be used as a bedroom temporarily while the renters are living there. It seems pretty simple, just want a few ideas on the best/cheapest way to go about it. I was thinking curtains/sheets, etc but was wondering if there is a better way, maybe with more privacy...thoughts?
