basement concrete floor crack

I am in the process of finishing my basement, and all I have to do is the carpeting.

There is a crack in the floor, about 12-15 long, not exceeding 1/4 inch in thickness. I am looking for something to patch this. I do not get any water in my basement. My father-in-law recommended Quick Patch, just watered down a little to pour in the crack. Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, we didn't see this when we bought the house 3 years ago.

Thanks!

Crakcs in basement slabs are common. Unless there is some other indication of a structural problem, it shouldn't be a deal breaker when buying a house.

Cracks are also pretty easy to repair. there are several products that will do the job. Hydraulic cement or one of the epoxy repair kits will do the job.

You could try some DRY-LOK. Chip at the crack a bit to give the compound something to really grab onto. Then dampen the crack (sorry, saying that makes me laugh .......and apply with a putty knife. Wetting the crack (lol) helps the compound as it dries.

Good luck!
