Cinder block wall...correct cement of job?
Hello...I have a leaning basement foundation wallm that has been leaning a while. Someone installed a 4x4 beam across the top to stop- the leaning but it is pushing againtsm the outside wall causeing bow.
So I'm adding a full cinder block wall (a devideding) across the two walls.
Questions ...Is there a specail cement for building a cinder block wall 8 feet high and 8 feet long. I'm using the ready mix brand cement, which seems to work but has the gravle chunks that seem to get in way when leveling blocks in place....Is there another proper cement for a cinder block wall job?
Thanks in advance for any help

To lay the block, get a pre-proportioned Type S mortar in a bag. If you have "gravel", you probably have a concrete mix and not a mortar mix.
It also sounds like you have a bigger problem than can be solved by just adding a cross wall that is probably just sitting on your slab.
The first fix with a 4x4 probably did nothing worthwhile.
