Covering up a basement window

Hi!

I'm planning on building a small wine cellar in the basement. I've looked at all my options and have identified really one location for it. Unfortunately, it would cover one of the basement windows.

The advice I'm seeking is whether it would be feasible to hide/cover up this window by a permanent wall.

In the affirmative, what would be the best way to do it?

Could it be done without actually removing the window?

The window measures 20" X 36".

Looking forward to your ideas!

I would be concerned about condensation forming on the window behind the wall how it will dry. Personally I think there is too many unknowns doing something like this to justify doing it.

Cut some rigid insulation to fit the space and call it a day, this won't react to any wetness, and will cut the water vapor transfer considerably.
