Remove steel plate from the basement

I have a unique situation. I am remodeling basement and need to remove old pool table, but the problem is - it is not regular pool table. The previous owner built it himself and for the table he used sheet of steel: 100 inches length - 51 inch wide and 1.2 inches thick. The weight of that piece is about 1400 pounds of pure steel. I am not sure how did he put in, it is not important - but how the heck should i get it out??? Please share your thoughts...

Can you raise the basement floor anywhere... like, by 1.2 inches?

Not sure how raising a floor will help get it out, but getting it on it's edge and on commercial rollers would be the best way. How is your basement configured? Is it a walk out? The larger the wheels the better it will roll. Of course 4 of your best friends will help.
