below grade crawl space access well

Hello,

I have two crawl spaces entrances: one is above ground, and the other is slightly below grade aprox. 1 foot. Anyway, the second below grade entrance has one of those cement "access wells" without any door or cover. I'm going crazy trying to find something, I'm curently using a couple of pieces of plywood and some plastic. Any suggestions or do I have to custom build something? Once again, this is for a below grade access well.

You have to custom build something. If there even is a one-size-fits-all (doubt it), it's gonna look really really cheesy.

Your crawlspace requires ventilation, by today's code if it didn't before. Is this the only opening? Hardware cloth stapled to a 2x4 frame may be appropriate.
