Crawl Space Flooring

I want to put in some plywood flooring into a large crawl space under my house. I would like to attach the beams to the support posts under my house and then just attach the joists to the beams, it would make things a lot easier and faster given the configuration of the crawl space.
This floor will only be used for storage without a lot of foot traffic, is it okay to use the support posts as footings or could this damage the integrity of the support system at all?
